Stahl Lecture Series

Stahl Lecture SeriesThe Stahl Lecture Series is named for the late University of Colorado Philosophy Professor, Dr. Gary Stahl, who helped make the lecture series and the Grillo Center a reality.

Four lectures take place each year. Popular and timely topics are addressed by local experts. The lectures are recorded and broadcast by Municipal Channel 8. The recordings become a part of the Boulder Public Library's collection.

Programs are free and open to the public, and are held at the Canyon Theater, Main Library, 1000 Canyon Blvd.

"Restless Legs Syndrome: Assessment and Treatment"
With Jacquelyn Bainbridge, BSPharm, PharmD., FCC P

Jacquelyn L. Bainbridge received her doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy, where she subsequently completed a specialty residency in neurology. Dr. Bainbridge currently serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Denver School of Pharmacy, Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Department of Neurology in the School of Medicine. Dr. Bainbridge is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society, Epilepsy Foundation of America, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Colorado Pharmacists Society, and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She is a frequent lecturer on topics of neurological and pharmacological interest in the areas of multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, migraine, neuroprotection, and movement disorders. She is actively involved in clinical research in the above neurological areas. Dr. Bainbridge has published several articles in professional journals, including Epilepsia, Pharmacotherapy, and the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy. Dr. Bainbridge has reviewed and written several book chapters on multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, migraine, and the practice of pharmacy. She is an active member of the board of directors for the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado professional advisory board, Epilepsy Foundation of America and the Restless Leg Syndrome board of directors. Dr. Bainbridge has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (FCCP) and won several student preceptor awards.
